About Sharon Werner

Sharon Werner founded Werner Design Werks, Inc., in 1991. The company specializes in combining strong visual language with sound design solutions to create work that not only impacts commerce but also culture. This creative and business strategy has attracted and gained praise from clients including Target Corporation, Mohawk Paper, Chronicle Books, Mrs. Meyer’s-Clean Day, Blu Dot Design and Manufacturing, Nick at Nite, VH-1 Networks, Levi’s, Minnesota Public Radio, Ogilvy, Comedy Central, and Urban Outfitters.

Werner Design Werks has been recognized with national and international honors and was named Target’s Vendor of the Year in 2002. The firm’s work is included in the permanent collections of numerous museums worldwide, and is found in stores and libraries in the form of type-focused children’s books—the third release being Alphasaurs and other Prehistoric Types.

About Lunch with a Legend

Lunch with a Legend is a unique opportunity to learn firsthand from Minnesota’s design luminaries, created by the Expert Designers Committee with a range of topics for designers at various stages of their careers. This program is a mini series within the legacy Luncheons program, hosted by AIGA Minnesota.

2013 Lunches
April 18 Jane Tilka: Bring Questions to Pick Jane’s Brain
October 17 Monica Little: Creating a Values-Based Organization
December 12 Eric Madsen: (Topic TBD)

The $10 event fee does not cover the price of your meal. Registration is first-come, first-served and is available to current AIGA members only. Because of the unique nature of this program and its limited seating, attendees may only attend one Lunch with a Legend event.
