Explore Art Shanty Projects and Learn about YouthLink

NOTE: The event will be located on the shore of White Bear Lake County Park instead of on the ice, for weather-related safety reasons.

Furnish a Future is a social impact awareness project created by AIGA Minnesota’s Design for Good initiative. We are partnering with YouthLink, a non-profit organization helping youth ages 16-23 experiencing homelessness to get back on their feet.

At the interactive and artist-driven Art Shanty Projects, our team will set up a display for one day to spread awareness of YouthLink’s resources and celebrate the five-year anniversary of their Youth Opportunity Center (YOC).

The YOC is dedicated to providing a variety of resources — from health care to education to employment — that provide long-term support of youth. The Design for Good: Furnish a Future display brings awareness and insight for visitors as they learn how the problem can be alleviated, and what they can do to help youth thrive.

This event is free and open to the public.
