A special edition of Cocktails with Creatives will coincide with both the AIGA design conference and the exhibit opening of, “CHANK and Friends” held at the Chowgirls Parlor on Friday, October 11, 2013, from 7–11pm.

The show will feature new paintings by type designer Chank Diesel along with collaborative contributions from Adam Turman, Rudy Fig, Brock Davis, Ben Eine, Shepard Fairey, and more. There will be extraordinarily delicious (and complimentary) appetizers, created by Chowgirls Catering, along with a cash bar.

About Chowgirls

Chowgirls Parlor is open the first Thursday of every month, offering a low-key setting for artists to eat, drink, and unwind after hosting open studios for First Thursdays in the Arts District. Located in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District, Chowgirls Parlor features a cozy vine-covered courtyard and a regularly rotating exhibit of the Twin Cities’ most talented artists. The Parlor is a great place to host a business lunch, rehearsal dinner, anniversary celebration, or any special occasion. Award-winning local and organic catering as well as full bar service is provided exclusively by Chowgirls.

Formerly known as “New Member Night,” AIGA Minnesota now hosts Cocktails with Creatives, a monthly social at various locations around the Twin Cities.
