Utilizing a 2014 Artist Initiative grant awarded by the Minnesota State Arts Board, author and artist Todd Thyberg celebrates the pamphlet Common Sense that sparked the American Revolution by publishing a new, original book titled American Manifesto. Nearly 250 years after the distribution of Thomas Paine’s history-altering pamphlet, Thyberg has paired modern design and illustration with vintage letterpress to inform current American debates.
