Strap on your helmets and pedal on over for another sustainable film on the Midtown Greenway. At sundown, grab your blankets and join us outside as we view The Economics of Happiness. Come early and chill with a DJ set from WHALE/S starting at 7:30 p.m. Bring a no-waste picnic in reusable containers if you’d like and top it off with cupcakes provided by Salty Tart. Enter a drawing to win a free pound of Peace Coffee. The movie will start at nightfall, approximately 9:00 p.m.
Both hard-hitting and inspiring, The Economics of Happiness demonstrates that millions of people across the world are already engaged in building a better world – that small scale initiatives are happening on a large scale. Featuring a chorus of voices from six continents calling for systemic economic change, the film shows that countless initiatives are united around a common cause: rebuilding more democratic, human scale, ecological and local economies – the foundation of an ‘economics of happiness’.
